What does it include?

Malaga is one of Andalusia’s largest cities and the capital of the Costa del Sol.

In recent years, it has undergone an important transformation that has made it more attractive to tourists. Today it is a dynamic city with many places of interest: museums, the new port district… Its province has wonderful beaches from Nerja to Manilva and inland you will find some very well-known villages like Ronda.

You can visit the Cathedral, the Picasso Museum and the Castle, among other places.

  • Check-in at destination city or cities by Educatrip staff.
  • Reservation and entrance to different monuments, activities, etc.
  • Homestay with full board and lodging during the entire stay in all destination cities (except Bilbao and Santiago de Compostela).
  • Guided tours depending on the program.
  • Accompanying teachers are free-of-charge.
  • 24 hours assistance and supervision throughout the stay.

  • Contacting air or ground transportation to Spain for information.
  • Transportation to destination.

Activities we highlight

Cathedral

The Cathedral de la Encarnacion was built on the old foundations of the Aljama Mosque, the city's main mosque during the eight centuries of Moorish rule. At the present time, the main façade is unfinished and the south tower is also incomplete. Over time, the temple developed a unique appearance that distinguished it and led to its popular name of "La Manquita" (the amputee).

Roman Theater

The Roman Theater is located at the base of the Alcazaba. It was built during the reign of Augustus and was used until the 3rd century.

Alcazaba

A palace and fortress of the Moorish governors of the city. It was mostly built in the 11th century and is one of the most emblematic monuments of Malaga.

Carmen Thyssen Museum

The collection has around 200 works of art, mainly by Spanish artists of the 19th century, specifically focused on Andalusian painting.

Gibralfaro Castle

This castle was built in the 14th century to house troops and protect the Alcazaba due to the widespread use of artillery.

English Cemetery

The first Protestant cemetery to be established in Spain. Many people of importance to the city’s economy were buried here.

Contemporary Art Center

Malaga's CAC is a place for reflection and the promotion of contemporary art. It is a dynamic and innovative space. They are very receptive to artistic proposals and personal initiatives.

Cooking Classes

Groups cook different Spanish dishes and then enjoy a tasting session.

Spanish Course

The school has a modern space with different classrooms suitable for school groups.

Flamenco Show

The show is performed in a typical setting and lasts about one hour.

Picasso Foundation - Birth House Museum

The Picasso Foundation has several different aims: Placing value on the touristic and cultural importance of the Birth House Museum, the growth and preservation of its art collections (more than 4,000 pieces by over 200 artists), the organization of exhibitions and other activities.

La Concepción Botanical Garden

Guided visit to these English landscaped gardens, with a history dating back more than 150 years.

Automobile Museum

This is an amazing collection of over ninety exclusive models including Jaguar, Aston Martin, Bugatti, Rolls Royce and Porsche, among others, located in the historical tobacco factory building.

Alboranian Museum

Interactive museum for discovering and learning about sea life. We offer workshops on preserving natural resources and improving the environment and quality of life.

Interactive Music Museum

It contains an important collection of musical instruments from around the world and of all ages, many of which can be played. Designed for all audiences, from children to adults, it is an interactive museum that allows experimentation: instead of "please don't touch", its motto is "please play!

Picasso Museum

This museum is located in the Buenavista Palace, a Renaissance building from the 16th century and the most important example of fine architecture from that period. The permanent collection is an example of Picasso's extraordinary artistic point of view. More than 200 works including paintings, drawings, sculptures, and sketches.

Pompidou Museum

Visits and workshops in this museum, headquarters of the Georges Pompidou National Center of Art and Culture of France.

Bullfighting Museum

The collection has around 200 works of art, mainly by Spanish artists of the 19th century, specifically focused on Andalusian painting.

Beach

Malaga is the capital of Costa del Sol and is surrounded by beautiful beaches.

Principia Science Centre

An interactive science museum with the "Faraday Room", where experiments are carried out. It also has a digital planetarium star projector that allows you to see the sky from anywhere in the universe, and the "Tomás Hormigo Room" with more than 80 interactive modules.
